I’ve been studying at Affinity Hair Academy and honestly it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I’m about to graduate and throughout this journey I’ve learned so much, not only about barbering, but also about professionalism, technique, and how to grow in this industry. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and truly care about helping students improve every day. The environment is professional, motivating, and hands-on, which helped me gain real experience and confidence behind the chair. If you’re looking for the best place to study barbering in Orlando, I highly recommend this academy. 5 stars over the course of time I’ve been going. Right now they have a group of lazy students. Two girls doing my highlights were complaining about how much they hate doing highlights. Kept trying to pass the work off on the other. They were attentive students when Rio was around but as soon as he walked away they blamed something crooked on him that was definitely one of them and talked as if I wasn’t there. I feel bad for Rio that he has this generation of students. Normally the vibes there are great. Still 5 stars, considering it’s student work and discounted, plus cumulatively the vibes are usually high and the student output is *usually* superior. ~ Jessica W

I'm extremely pleased with the service I received today here. I googled hair salons near the mall and I found this one with good reviews. I came in requesting to change my style( first time ever really going short so I was a little nervous) and they were so kind and patient with me. More importantly when I saw the style I was more than pleased, I was actually happy and not worried about such a drastic change. I will definitely come back to this salon. Thanks to all!! I just got hair cut two days ago and my experience was the best. I had been growing out my hair since I was young and never gave it more than a trim. I decided to get it cut because as a mixed 16yr old- I need to learn to take care of my own hair. The school took me in as a walk in and had their stylist Ryo did my hair. Other places flinched at my curly hair but Affinity knew what to do. The stylist was super nice and comforted me as he chopped 15 inches off my head. Affinity accepted me as a transfer student with open arms. From out of state ,and in state. I’ve had a really long journey(20months), plenty of bumps in the road. And they gave me the comfort to know, at their school they will do what it takes to get students graduated, no matter the situation. I'd like to start of by saying how much of an amazing experience I had at Affinity Hair Academy!!! I was a student there and the amount of Knowledge I gained from the teachers there is outstanding! Me and my daughter went today for first time . They treat us like loyalty and not only that she was soo happy with her hair for me that is priceless, also I went just to do re touch and I ended getting full highlights with Sumita , she took her time and make sure that my hair was perfect, then Yohanka blow dry my hair and I left happy and satisfy. I was impressed with the team work . I made another appointment to bring this time my mom. Totally recommend give them the chance. ~ W M

I cannot thank Ingrid enough for the extension since the day I walked in, it has been phenomenal experience with the students and the teachers. I had asked about extensions and around the timing frame that I wanted to get them . The process was super easy. And can not forget the cost!! Definitely cost efficient. I went with half instead of full. I’m now about 3 1/2 months in going soon to get them fixed soon since there is an extensive amount of growth. ~ R S

I love it here! My teachers are the best teachers I have ever had. I have learned so much from the teachers at this school. I love the experience they give. They stand right by you through services step by step and refused to let us fail. They work very hard and are very dedicated. From the time we enter the place til the time we go home. It was my daughter’s and I first time in Affinity School and the experience was amazing. The staff welcomes you with a big smile and friendly atmosphere. Yomaris was our hairdresser and she did an amazing job with my partial highlights and my daughter’s baliage. We are very satisfied with the service and professionalism. My experience here was amazing from the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted by Isabel, which immediately consulted me on what type of services I wanted, which I wanted my hair completely transformed. She along with her instructor Rio were very kind and helpful in helping me decide what would look and work best for my hair style. I had her cut off almost 10in of hair as well as highlight, cut and style. Isabel was eager to learn and use her creative skills. I am so happy with the results from Isabel as well as the fact that she was a really nice and friendly person. Rio was extremely attentive and informative in instructing her. I liked the atmosphere of the entire salon/barber school. All of the students seemed happy and eager to learn. The other instructors I noticed were extremely hands on and helpful. The facility was very clean even the restrooms. Over all experience was wonderful and my haircut and style transformation is amazing. Thank you to all!! I did not have any other type of services done, I will be going back to try other services and hopefully get Isabel again to style my hair. ~ Breean B

I really had my doubts if Kenisha could do my hair or not as she asked for instructions from her teacher. But after I got the Keratin treatment and she flat Ironed my hair my hair due lasted three weeks! I went there three weeks ago i have washed my hair several times since the treatment and my hair still looks good. I will be back! Thanks Mike for reffering me here. ~ Cecileen D

Eileen was so attentive and patient with my hair. I have very long hair and has been damaged at other hair salons. She listened from the beginning, gave the best wash i have ever had at a salon and left my hair silky smooth. I am hesitant to go to salons but i am glad i decided to go to this place. Yoanka is an excellent nail teacher. She really cares about you and your education. She is more concerned with your ability to succeed in the workforce after you’ve graduated and have your license. 10 stars if I could! They did an amazing job fixing a bad bleach job I had attempted on myself. I should have taken a before picture (as it was horrible, orange, and uneven), but here is the after. They were thorough and worked with my odd availability! It came out looking so much better, even better than I could have hoped!
